Mary G. "Jerri" Stemm, 89, of McConnelsville passed away at 9:08 a.m. Friday July 14, 2017 at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born December 9, 1927 in Morgantown, W.V. to the late Ray Doak and Lestie Pernell Doak.  Jerri worked as an inspector for Gould Corp. and then Miba Bearings Corp. of McConnelsville. She was very proud of her long working career at the plant for 65 years. Her work was her life. She was also a member of the Seventh Street Church Of Christ in McConnelsville. She is survived by a  daughter Shirley Hanson of McConnelsville, a sister Caroldine "Kay" Kosko of Ormond Beach, Fl., 4 grandchildren Lisa Trainer, Rodney (Bobbi) Hanson, Kevin (Trisha) Hanson, and Stephanie Woodward, 10 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Stemm, 2 sisters Nadine Cordray, Glenadine Simcox, and a brother Forest Doak. Calling hours will be Monday July 17, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home and Tuesday July 18, 2107 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Seventh Street Church Of Christ. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Evangelist Sam Bartrug and Randy Baker officiating. Jerri will be laid to rest beside her husband Robert at the Beverly Cemetery.
