Mary Beth Hook, 79, of Stockport went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 9, 2017. She passed away at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born July 31, 1938 in Nelsonville to the late Bernard Goss and Lucille Walters Goss. She was a retired school bus driver for Morgan Local Schools and was a member of the Stockport United Methodist Church. Mary was also a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and was an avid bingo and card player. She enjoyed spending time with her family and spending her winters in Florida. She is survived by three daughters, Teresa (John) Kalb of McConnelsvile, Lori (Bill) Campbell of Malta, and Angie (Nat) Sherer of Reddick, Fl.; a son Rick (Allyson) Hook of Malta; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin M. Hook; a sister, Linda Kinneer and two brothers, Bane Goss and Dallas Goss. Calling hours will be Monday, September 11, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Stockport United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Miller officiating. Mary will be laid to rest beside her husband, Melvin in the Stockport Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kate Love Simpson Library in McConnelsville.
