Mary E. Linscott 84, of McConnelsville passed away at 4:20 p.m. May 30, 2015 at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. She was born November 12, 1930 in Morgan County the daughter of the late James Clarence Drake and Ruth Thompkins Drake. She worked at Pritchard Cleaners and Community Action as a senior aid worker. She was a member of the Neelysville Church of Christ, Morgan County Senior Citizens, also worked at the CORC office in McConnelsville.She baked cakes for people for many years and was a longtime member of TOPS. She is survived by her sisters Shirley Webner of Ormond Beach, Fla. and Betty McInturf of McConnelsville , several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Kibby Joe Linscott, sisters Patty Blair , Mardene Barner, and Virginia Hopkins, one brother Milton S. Drake. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller-Huck Funeral home in McConnelsvile. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Neelysville Church of Christ with Pastor Jeff Shaner officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her son in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
