Mary L. Woodward 95, of McConnelsville passed away at 1:08 a.m. January 12, 2017 at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConelsville. She was born September 4, 1921 in Doddridge County , West Virginia the daughter of the late Delbert Doak and Maud Underwood. She was a court administrator, bayliff , and secretary for the Morgan County Court of Common Pleas and worked for five Judges in the 25 years she worked in Morgan County. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in McConnelsville, Morgan County Republican Women where she was the Republican Woman of the year in 2014, Valley Chapter OES in McConnelsville where she received her 60 years pin,Morgan County ladies shrine. She enjoyed playing Euchre ans Canasta. Surviving are her children Rosalind (Roger) Moody of Westerville, Carolyn (Rob) Ewart of Marietta, Nina (Jerry) Goins of Malta, Tim (Rebecca) Woodward of Gettysburg, Pa. and Gary (Susan) Woodward of McConnelsville, ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Herbert Hughes who died Jan 15, 1945 and second husband Clayton Woodward who died in 1996, sisters Rita Rudzienski, Blanche Baker, Gatha Powell, Lucine Sealock; brothers Ray, Roy and Ralph Doak. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday . She will be laid to rest in McConnelsville Cemetery. Eastern star services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the M&M Fire Dept. 77 S. 4th Street McConnelsville, Ohio 43756 or the Trinity United Methodist Church in McConnelsville.
