Mary O. Woodyard, 91 of Chesterhill, died at 12:30 A.M., Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville. She was born in Union Township near Chesterhill on March 22, 1920 to the late Ray and Elizabeth Hooper Black. She was a graduate of Pennsville High School, a member of the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ, and she loved to garden, quilt, and spend time with her family. She is survived by 2 sons, Rodney Woodyard of Chesterhill, and Richard (Alberta) Woodyard of Chesterhill, 2 daughters, Cheryl Woodyard, and Karen (Cary) Parsons both of Chesterhill, 2 grandsons and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Woodyard (May 1, 1964) and one brother, James Frank Black. Services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Evang. Sam Bungard officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Cemetery near Chesterhill. Friends may call on the family on Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 6-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
