Obituary

Melvin C. Bell Sr. 91, of 6161 N. St Rt 60 McConnelsville passed away at 4 a.m. March 19, 2011 at his home. He was born October 4, 1919 in Chancey, Ohio son of the late Homer Bell and Jennie Fink Bell. He was retired from Diamond Shamrock in Painesville, Ohio and a member of the Cornerstone South Family Life Church in McConnelsville. He was also a member of the United Mine Workers Union. He is survived by his wife Louise Thomas Bell whom he married March 23, 1946. One son, Melvin Bell Jr. of McConnelsville; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Homer Bell of Columbus and Leroy Bell of Trimble. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Melva Louise Reisinger; three sisters, Mary Pike, Lela Holman, and Anna Lewis; brothers Richard, Ronald, Larry and Glennis Bell.Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Cornerstone South Family Life Church in McConnelsville with Paster Steve Smith officiating. Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2011 at the Gravel Bank Cemetery in Chesire, Ohio. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.miller-huck.com.
