Muriel J. Medley McGrew, age 74, of Chesterhill, Ohio, passed away at 9:01 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2105 at the Genesis/ Highland Oaks Nursing Center in McConnelsville. She was born on July 25, 1941, in Pennsville, a daughter of the late John and Frieda Medley. Muriel attended school in Pennsville and worked at the Athens Mental Health Center for over 20 years. She was a member of the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ and an avid bowler. She is survived by her husband, Richard McGrew of the home, 2 sons: Terry(Deborah)McGrew and Adrian(Teresa)McGrew, both of Malta; 1 daughter: Cheryl(Chris)Woozerak of Rochester, NY, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters: Martha Harlow of McConnelsville, Marilyn(Gene)Parsons of Chesterhill, and Mary(Cletes)Miller of Middlebury, Indiana, several nieces and nephews. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Brown, 1 grandson, Justin McGrew, and 1 sister, Margaret Mosier. Service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015 at 2:30 P.M. at the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ with Evang. Sam Bungard officiating. Burial will follow in the Chesterhill Cemetery.
