Obituary

Nancy Eileen (Swoke) Watson, 69, of Springfield, TN, formerly of Stockport, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at North Crest Medical Center, in Springfield. Mrs. Watson was born May 11, 1946, in Columbus, OH, to the late Herbert and Norma (Wyer) Swoke.

She was the co-owner/operator of Country Angel Gifts, in Adairville, KY, and formerly owned the Golden Thimble Gift Shop, in McConnelsville, for many years. She was of the Methodist faith and formerly attended the Stockport United Methodist Church. She loved antiques, and loved talking to people, especially on the telephone. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she greatly loved. Nancy loved listening to country music and singing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Buckmaster.

* Mrs. Watson is survived by her husband, of thirty-one years, Timothy Watson, of Springfield, TN; sons, Timothy (Marion) Watson of Germany, Thomas (Candace) Watson of West Liberty, and Robert (Jacqueline Johns) Johnston of Urbana; daughters, Susan (Kevin) Henry of Batesville, IN, Lynn Evans of Urbana, Tamara (Steven) Harper of Statesboro, GA, and Emily (Jason) Huck of McConnelsville; sister, Terri Trautman of Columbus; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home, in McConnelsville, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with Pastor Walter Jones officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Stockport Cemetery.
