Nellie L. Barr, 89, of Bartlett, passed away Monday Oct. 29, 2018. Nellie was born April 7, 1929 to the late William and Hattie Ross Sapp. Nellie had worked as a computer processor for Xerox in Columbus and helped her son Michael at Crater's Restaurant. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Bexley. Nellie is survived by her son Michael (Nancy) Barr of Bexley, a daughter, Karen Jarvis of Bartlett, 3 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Ralph Barr, daughter, Diane Lynn Barr, 2 brothers, Bill and Clifford Sapp and 4 sisters, Lucy Conrad, Marjorie Mercer, Mae Pryor and Helen Sapp. A big "Thank You" goes to the staff of Marietta Amedisys Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Nellie. A celebration of life will be held 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 19th 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church, Bexley. Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill is handling the arrangements.
