Obituary

Nelson A. Lapp, 70, of 4325 N. Church Road, Malta, passed away at 3 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012 at his home.

He was born April 2,1941 in Stark County, Ohio to the late Alva and Barbara Mast Lapp.

Nelson was a retired farmer and was a member of the Ebenezer Mennonite Fellowship.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Anna Hershberger Lapp. They were married on May 22, 1965.

In addition to his wife he is survived by seven children, Marlene (Marion) Miller of Quaker City, Mathew (Mirian) Lapp of Malta, Grace (Philip) Mast of Malta, David (Angela) Lapp of McConnelsville, Morris Lapp of the home, Thaddeus (Edith) Lapp of Malta, and Dorcas (Eugene) Ropp of Atwood, Ontario; 22 grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Yoder, Elsie (Bill) Hochstetler, Bertha Lapp, and Joyce (Reuben) Coblentz; three brothers, Mervin (Amanda) Lapp, Floyd (Wilma) Lapp, and John (Rachel) Lapp; and a brother-in-law Dan Yoder.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Yoder; a brother-in-law Nelson Yoder, and a grandson, Gabriel Alan Lapp.

Calling hours will be held Friday, Feb. 10, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Ebenezer Mennonite Church, 3497 N. Deerfield Road, Malta, OH 43758, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, with Bishop La Verne Yoder officiating.

Burial will be in the Ebenezer Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is in charge of the arrangements.
