Nicky A. Kennedy, 47, of Athens, died on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at his residence. He was born on Jan. 4, 1966 in Marietta, Ohio to Herman E. "Bill" and Peggy Johnson Kennedy. He was a laborer for Union Hall Local 639 in Marietta working mostly for Shelly and Sands in Zanesville. He attended the Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle Church in Chesterhill. He is survived by his parents of Chesterhill, Wife, Kimberly Robertson Kennedy of Athens, 2 sons, Brandon Kennedy of Cutler and Nickolas Kennedy Jr. of the Home, 1 daughter, Brittney Kennedy of Chesterhill, 2 brothers, Macky Seyfried of Waverly and Bill Kennedy of Chesterhill, 1 sister, LeAnna Seyfried of Chesterhill, 4 grandchildren and a special nephew Bubba. He is preceded in death by his sister, Laura Seyfried Mayle. Services will be held on Friday, Oct 11, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mt. Hermon Church near Sharpsburg with Pastor J.R. Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, Oct 10 from 6-9 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill and 1 hour prior to the services at the church on the day of the services.
