Norma G. Lent Pierson, 83, of McConnelsville, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Genesis Health & Rehab Center in McConnelsville. She had been in ill health with respiratory ailements for the past two years.

She was born September 1, 1926 in Nelsonville to the late John Lent and Anne Nye Lent. Norma retired from the Babbert Concrete Company in Canal Winchester in 1991, and she and her husband, Charles lived in the Canal Winchester and Lithopolis areas most of their married life. They moved to the Malta and McConnelsville area full time in 1991.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Bob and Jackie Bowman of McConnelsville.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death in 1996 by her loving husband of 40 years, Charles R. Pierson; two sisters, Aileen Lent Misner and Rose Lent Blosser; and two brothers, Robert (Dick) Lent and Murl Lent.

In accordance with Norma's wishes there will be no calling hours and a caring cremation will take place. Her ashes will be buried next to her husband at Malta Cemetery in Malta at a later date.
