Olan Mitchell Ramsey, age 88, of Chesterhill, Ohio, passed away at 5:25 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville, Ohio. He was born March 3, 1926 in Bartlett, Ohio, a son of the late John and Lula Mayle Ramsey. He was a Construction worker and an employee of Union Carbide until his retirement .Olan was a faithful member of the Southland Mission in Cutler, and a devoted husband. He was a friend to all who knew him. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mayle Ramsey, 1 infant son, 6 brothers, and 3 sisters. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Southland Mission with Pastor Charles Buck Officiating. Burial will be in the Southland Cemetery.
