Opal R. Mayle, 78, of Chesterhill, passed away on Friday, Oct 5, 2018 at the Riverside Landing Nursing Home in McConnelsville. She was born on July 3, 1940 in Chesterhill to the late Zellen and Hazel Goins Thompson. She is survived by a son Curtis (Pam) Mayle of Chesterhill, 3 daughters, Rena Thompson of Chesterhill, Brenda (Don) Blackstone of Akron and Jeannie Mayle of Malta, brother Harry Thompson, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Mayle and a sister Peggy Cook. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with burial following in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery near Amesville.
