Orman O. Phillips, 80, of Hackney, passed away at his residence on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017. He was born on January 12, 1937 in Chauncy, Ohio to the late Denzel and Wilma Reynolds Phillips. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Lorain, Ohio. He is survived by his three sons, Richard Phillips of Strongsville, Edward Phillips of Medina and Everett Phillips of North Royalton, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Edna Jean Thompson Phillips, 5 brothers and 1 sister. A caring cremation is taking place at Orman's request. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.
