He was born May 24, 1934 in Barlow, Ohio, a son of the late John E. and Pauline Anderson Creighton. Pat was a Methodist by faith, a Boilermaker for 51 years with Local Union 105 out of Piketon, Ohio. He served in the Army and was a member of the Beverly American Legion Post # 389. Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Thelma Scott Creighton of the home; 1 son: Patrick Scott Creighton of the home; 1 daughter: LaNita Garnack and husband Steve of Newark, Ohio; 2 grandsons: Joshua and Daniel Garnack of Newark; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers: James Creighton of Chesterhill, Ohio and David Creighton and wife Lynn of Stockport, Ohio; 1 sister: Shelley Creighton and husband Steven Jacobs of Palm Desert, CA.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a sister-in-law, Susan Moody of Chesterhill, Ohio. Other than his parents, Pat was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Pamala Creighton, and 1 brother, John Micheal Creighton. Services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Fred Adkins officiating. Burial will be in the Stockport Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Stockport Volunteer Fire Department.
