Paul Edward Hopkins, 77, of McConnelsville, passed away on Fri, Feb. 20, 2026 at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. He was born on March 30, 1948 in Zanesville to the late Paul A. and Virginia Drake Hopkins. He worked for over 44 years for the IBEW Local 71 and was proud to be a Union Member. He was a member of the Eagles #2187 in McConnelsville. He is survived by his wife, Renee Harkins Hopkins of the home, a son, Brad (Karelle) Hopkins of Pennsville, 2 daughters, Tori (Mark) Southward of Zanesville and Jessica (Eric) Driver of McConnelsville, 2 brothers, Stan (Liz) Hopkins of McConnelsville and Steve (Bonnie) Hopkins of Malta, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren with one on the way and several nephews and a niece. He is preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Morgan or West Muskingum Athletic Boosters. Matheney Funeral Home is handling a caring cremation at Ed’s request.
