Pearl Edward “Butch” Berry, 78, of New Lexington, passed away on Sat, Feb. 21, 2026 at his residence. He was born on March 28, 1947 in Columbus to the late Howard and Beatrice Fitch Berry. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and attended the Bear Run Baptist Church in New Lexington. He was an over the road truck driver for many years and retired as a lineman for Time Warner Cable. He is survived by his wife Noreen Forrester Elliot of the home, a son Mark (Katy) Berry of Columbus and 2 granddaughters, Meghan Gallagher and Madison Berry. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Matt Berry and a brother, Ron Peebles. A graveside service with Military honors will be held on Weds, Feb. 25, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Chesterhill Cemetery. Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill is handling the arrangements.
