Penny J. Smith, 60, of McConnelsville, passed away on Sat, Oct. 12, 2024 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital.  She was born on Dec. 28, 1963 in Aulburn, California to the late Roy E. and Velma P. Hitt Smith.  She worked for the Morgan County Highway Dept. in McConnelsville.  She is survived by a son, Matthew Roberts of Sacramento, CA, a daughter, Ashley Boynton of Reno, NV, significant other Jeff Roberts of the home, a brother, Donald Smith of Aulburn, CA and 2 grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Linda Radford.  A service will be announced at a later date.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
