Phillip A. Blind, 72, of Dale, passed away on Tues, May 25, 2021 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital.  He was born on July 27, 1948 in Marietta to the late Ralph and Dorothy Evelyn Waite Blind.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Burkhart Trucking and Excavating in Lowell and loved working on the farm and his tractors.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Doris Moore Blind of the home, 2 sons, Ronald and Carey Blind of Sarahsville and Thomas and Lori Blind of Stockport, a brother, Fred and Karen Blind of Pennsville, 2 sisters, Jan and Larry Allman of Dale and Tammie and Ed Martin of Waterford, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard and a brother, John.  A visitation will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 10-12 Noon at the Dale United Methodist Church with a funeral following at 12:00 Noon.  Burial will follow in the Dale Cemetery.  Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill is handling the arrangements.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
