Phoebe Young Custer, 96, of Stockport, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the Marietta Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on October 3, 1913 in Ripley West Virginia to the late Everett C. and Anna Stanley Young. She was a homemaker, owned and operated the Dale store in Dale and was a member of the Dale United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son Paul (Edra) Custer of Stockport, two daughters, Kathleen (Leonard) Dennison of Winston-Salem N.C., and Greta (Dana) Lochary of Titusville, Fla., eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilmer B. Custer, one son-in-law, Dana Lochary and several brothers and sisters. Service will be held Friday, August 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Rev. Jim Corbitt officiating, and burial following at the Bartlett Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
