Phyllis J. Taylor, 83, of Chesterhill, passed away Thur. July 10, 2025 at her residence. She was born Nov. 23, 1941 to the late Forrest "Pete" and Ruby Parsons Crawford in Vinton, OH. Bob Evans gave her the nickname "Pickle" and she worked at Riverside Landing for 18 years and was a homemaker. She loved milking cows, making cathedral window quilts, fishing and the Cincinnati Reds. She loved cooking noodles, banana salad, and chocolate pie. She loved raising her five children; and adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grand children; and her dog, Holly Angel. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dale Taylor of the home; sons, Jerry (DaNielle) Taylor of Zanesville and Joe (Cozra) Taylor of Port Orange, FL; daughters, Jill (Mike) Gillespie of Chesterhill and Jean (Curt) Dille of Stockport; brother, John (Patty) Crawford of Columbus; 11 grandchildren, Curtis "Buster" (Jenny) Dille of Stockport, Jeff Dille of Stockport, Tammy (Glen) Besser of Zanesville, Amy (Trent) Junn of Stockport, Christopher Dille of Stockport, Eric (Mallory) Taylor of Zanesville, Sheldon (Courtney) Gillespie of Malta, Joanna (Scott) Dille of Stockport, Adam (LaDonna) Taylor of Kentucky, Shane (Audrey) Taylor of Kentucky, and Sheridan (Jenna) Gillespie of Malta; 26 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, James "Jim" Taylor; brother, Max Crawford; and great grandson Colton Dille. Funeral Service will be Tues. July 15, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill, burial to follow at Chesterhill Cemetery. Friends may call on the family Mon.
