Phyllis Ida Cunningham, 84, of Stockport, died on Monday, Oct. 12, 2015 at her residence. She was born on Feb. 10, 1931 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late John and Margaret Parr Adkins. She worked for the Big Bear Grocery Store in Columbus. She was a member of the Stockport Oakland Methodist Church and the Zane's and Jane's Square Dancing Club of Zanesville. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Elmer Cunningham of the home, 2 step-daughters, Kim Konkler of Stockport and Teresa Flood of McConnelsville, 2 step-grandsons, Brandon and Nathan Konkler, 1 nephew, Thomas Conklin of Columbus, 1 niece, Linda Might of Columbus and special friends and neighbors Bobby and Dianna Beck of Stockport. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Pastor Richard Purvis officiating. Burial will follow in the Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call on the family 1-hour prior to the services. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite local charity in Phyllis's name.
