Phyllis Marie Wilson Martin, 89 of Amesville, died on Monday, April 1, 2013 at 8:05 P.M. at the Laurels of Athens. She was born on May 2, 1923 in Amesville to the late Arthur and Delta Lucille Lochary Jago and graduated from the Ames-Bern High School in Amesville. She worked for the Federal Hocking School System where she was a cook at the Amesville Elementary School and was an avid bowler. She is survived by her son Darren Wilson of Amesville, daughter, Yvonne Bankston of Montana, 2 brothers, Ashia and Aaron Jago of Amesville, 1 sister, Joyce Burgess of Pickerington, 1 granddaughter, Darralyn, 4 great grandchildren,several nieces and nephews and 1 special niece Toni. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Darrell Wilson, 2nd husband, Roy Martin, 5 brothers, Arthur, Allen, Adrian, Arnold, and Addison Jago, 2 sisters, Irene Wolfe Price and Maxine Coughnour. Services will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with burial following at the Mound Hill Cemetery near Amesville. Friends may call on the family from 12-2 P.M. on the day of the funeral. The family would like to thank The Laurels of Athens for all their kind care and help.
