Phyllis K. Newberry 67, of Malta passed away at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville She was born January 9, 1945 in McConnelsville the daughter of the late Bernard Newsom and Flossie North Newsom. She was retired from the Corner Store in Beverly. She is survived by three daughters Vicki (Roger) Sampson of Waterford , Kim (Rick) Wasmer of Williamstown, W.Va., Stacy (Tim) Harper of Ellenboro, W.Va.: stepchildren Rick, Roger and Vickie; eight grandchildren Jocelyn Lang,Janetta Lang, Tate Lang, Wyatt Lang, Beau Wasmer, Nick Wasmer, Brook Harper and Brittaney Harper; one sister Laura (Danny) Liff of Malta ; three brothers Tom (Karen) Newsom of Livingston, North Carolina; Gene (Dee) Newsom of Portersville and Mel Newsom of Malta. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Fisher and her second husband Rodney Newberry, one sister Donna Collins and one brother John Newsom. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 11 :00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.
