Phyllis JoAnn Wallace, 89, of Stockport, passed away on Sat, Oct. 5, 2024 at the Riverside Landing Nursing Home in McConnelsville.  She was born on May 7, 1935 in Stockport to the late Max and Dorothy Riley Ewart.  She retired after 40 years from the Chesterhill Stone Company in McConnelsville.  She was a member of the Tabor Ridge Church of Christ near Stockport.  She is survived by 3 sons, Bradley (Florence) Wallace of Findlay, Steve (Liz) Wallace of Stockport and Roger (Gail) Wallace of Stockport, a daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Pryor of Stockport, 8 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, 18 great grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray Wallace, 3 brothers, Jay, Joe and Max Jr. Ewart, a sister Joyce Jackson and special friend Dick Cooper.  Services will be held on Thurs, Oct. 10, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Stockport Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family on Weds, Oct 9 from 6-8 P.M.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Tabor Ridge Christian School 6727 Tabor Ridge Rd.
