Obituary

R. June Rex Morgenstern, 85, of McConnelsville passed  away at 7:25 p.m. Friday June 9, 2107 at the Riverside Landing Nursing & Rehab in McConnelsville. She was born September 29, 1931 in McConnelsville to the late William H. Garner and Bernice Sheets Garner. June was retired from Malta Manufacturing and was a housewife. She was a member of the Seventh Street Church Of Christ, the McConnelsville Eagles  Auxillary, the V.F.W. Auxillary, and the American Legion Auxillary. She is survived by two step daughters Martha Bennett of Beverly and Sandy McVey of Wayne, Mi., two step sons Paul Morgenstern of Marietta and Garvin Randolph III of Marietta, a brother Donald Garner of Malta, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are two daughter-in-laws Frankie Rex and Ruth Rex. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband C. Walls Rex and her second husband Lewis P. Morgenstern. Also preceded in death by a daughter Marcia L. Slowter, two sons John W. Rex and C. King Rex, a brother C. William Garner, two sisters and two grandchildren. Calling hours will be Tuesday June 13, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. A funeral service will be Wednesday June 14, 2107 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. June will be laid to rest beside her first husband C. Walls Rex at the Windy Hill Cemetery.
