Ralph L. Johnson, 90 of Malta formerly of Nelsonville, died on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville. He was born on June 13, 1925 in Nelsonville to the late James H. and Catherine Vaught Johnson. He worked as an installer for Western Electric all over Southeastern Ohio. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post #24 in McConnelsville and lifetime member of the VFW Post #4713 in Malta, DAV and Nelsonville Elks Club. He is survived by 2 sons, Danny (Sue) Johnson of Copley and Gary Johnson of Malta, 1 daughter, Janice (Wayne) Bullock of Malta, 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth Tomlinson Johnson, 1 son, Allan Johnson, 1 daughter, Linda Hornacek and a granddaughter, Lisa. Services will be held on Friday, Oct 9, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Burial will follow in the Green Lawn Cemetery in Nelsonville. Military honors will be provided by the Morgan County Veterans Ass. Friends may call on the family from 11-1 P.M. on the day of the services.
