Randy J. Crandall, 48, of 3151 Blind Rd., Stockport, died unexpectedly while working in Belpre at 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2009.

He was born Feb. 15, 1961, in Hamilton, NY, a son of James and Sylvia Crandall of Waterville, NY.

Mr. Crandall was a 1979 graduate of Waterville, NY, Central School. He was a truck driver for Burkhart Trucking and Excavating in Lowell. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Beverly.

He was also a member of the Sunday Night Mixed Bowling League and the Wednesday Night Men's Bowling League. He also volunteered with the Junior Bowling League and was a member of the Morgan Athletic Boosters.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 16 years, Norvel Hemkes Crandall; five sons, Harold "Skip" Crandall of State College, PA, Aaron, Samuel, Stuart, and Jacob Crandall, all of the home; two sisters, Crystal (Robert) Langone and Cheryl Blakely; two brothers, Rod (Diane) Crandall and James Crandall, all of Waterville, NY.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. A Rosary Service will be held Thursday evening after visitation.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 26, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Beverly with Father Robert Kawa officiating.

At Randy's request, a caring cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to Citizens National Bank, 100 East Main Street, McConnelsville, OH 43756 for the benefit of Randy's sons.
