Ray D. Cordray 79,of McConnelsville passed away at 5 :50 a.m. Dec. 3, 2015 at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. He was born October 30, 1936 in Morgan County the son of the late Virgil Dawson Cordray and Mae Irene Bucey Cordray. He was retired from Carpenters Local Union 540 , served in the National Guard for six years and was a former Babe Ruth Baseball coach for many years. Surviving are his wife Roxie Lawson Cordray whom he married on May 9, 1969 children, Misty (Tracy) McFarland of Chandler , Arizona , Danny (Emily) Cordray of North Yarmouth, Maine, Shellie (Bob) Smith of McConnelsville, step children, Debra (Richard) Strode of Malta, Angie (Doug) Hughes of McConnelsville and Terry Shriver of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren Jessica, Cory, Marley, Grady, Airel, Alissa, Ryan, Kiley, and Tyler, nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by twin grandsons Kash Robert Smith and Kaden Ray Smith. Calling hours will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. .
