Raymond L. Massey, 74, of Malta, passed away on Mon, Oct. 19, 2026 at the Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville. He was born on July 5, 1952 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late James and Hope Slivka Massey. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was a local Pastor. He is survived by 7 sons, Terrell Massey of Roswell, Ben Massey of Akron, Paul Massey of Uhrichsville, Patrick Massey of Uhrichsville, Morgan Massey of Dennison, Samuel Massey of West Lafayette and Charles Massey of Akron, 5 daughters, Naomi Hicks of Uhrichsville, Susanna Batista of Magnolia, Ramona Foster of New Philadelphia, Sarah Foltz of Dennison and Esther Gram of Stone Creek, a brother, Bill Massey of Malta, a sister, Mary Ann Curtis of Corning, 23 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Patricia Douthit Massey. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling a caring cremation for the family.
