Raymond Gifford Walker, 69, of Sardis, Ohio, passed away December 26, 2020 at Wheeling Hospital.  Raymond was born December 4, 1951 in Athens County, Ohio to the late Everett Walker and Garnet Tabler.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roger and James Walker and sister Barbara Goins. Surviving are his brother Leroy Walker and sisters Elnore Walker and Lizzy Tabler.

Ray was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a devoted husband. Ray married the love of his life, Betty Flowers on November 28, 1975. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, daughters Angela (Julius) Brown, Morgan (Travis) Bayes, Brandi (Alonzo) Lemon, and son, Matthew (Ashleigh) Walker.  Raymond and Betty have 8 grandchildren: Evelyn Brown, Azariah and Japeth Bayes, Raelyn and Anthony Lemon, and Jourdan, Brayden and Ander Walker.   A public visitation will be held on Weds, Dec. 30, 2020 from 5-7 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill, Ohio with a private funeral service following on Thursday.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
