Retha Diane Starrett, 55 of Malta, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 9:30p.m. at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. She was born April 12, 1954 in Zanesville to the late Charles R. And Jean B. Lambert Starrett and was a homemaker. She is survived by one son Raymond "Bert" Starrett of Malta, one brother, Robert L. Starrett of Chandlersville, one sister, Lita L. Pugh of McConnelsville, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held Monday, September 28, 2009 at 11:00a.m. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with the Pastor Galen Finley officiating and burial following at the Deerfield Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, September 27, 2009 from 6-8p.m. at the funeral home.
