Richard Brian Murphey, 65, of McConnelsville, passed away on Jan. 14, 2023 at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.  He was born on May 7, 1957 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Richard and Deloris Ditter Murphey.  He worked as a machinist at Miba Bearings in McConnelsville for over 40 years.  He loved to play cards especially Euchre on Friday nights.  He is survived by 2 sons, Brian (Monica) Murphey of Rokeby Locks and Cody Murphy of McConnelsville, a daughter, Karissa Murphey of McConnelsville, a brother, Mike (Debbie) Murphey of Rokeby Locks, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson on the way.  He is preceded in death by his Parents.  Services will be held on Fri, Jan 20, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Malta Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family on Thurs, Jan 19, from 5-7 P.M.   To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com
