Richard L. "Buck" Gheen, 64, of McConnelsville passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018. He was born February 23, 1954 in Marietta to the late Carlos Gheen and Mary Lawrence Gheen. Buck worked for Shelly Materials of East Fultonham. He loved the outdoors and tinkering in his garage. He never met a stranger and always had a friendly smile. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Joni Horner Gheen; two daughters, Brandy Woollard and Bailee Gheen both of McConnelsville; two sons, Luke Gheen and Zach Gheen both of McConnelsville;  two grandchildren; four sisters,  Bonnie Lou Matson of Pennsville, Linda Wells of Stockport, Ruth Ann Palmer of Radcliff, KY., and Donna Dixon of Stockport. Also surviving is a brother,  Mike Gheen of Stockport. In addition to his parents,  he was preceded in death by three brothers, Carlos, Jimmy, and Raymond Gheen. Calling hours will be Friday, September 7, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the Malta Bible Church where a memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. with Pastor Matt Workman officiating.
