Richard L. Burchett, 73, of Stockport, passed away on Sun, Dec. 14, 2025 at his residence.  He was born on April 18, 1952 in Beverly, Ohio to the late James and Doris Alltop Burchett.  He worked in the Maintenance department for the Fort Frye School System.  He is survived by a son, James Burchett of Waterford, 2 daughters, Stephanie Hoskinson of Dayton and Rebecca Offenberger of Stockport, 2 sisters, Wanda Riley of Coal Run and Nancy Venoy of McConnelsville, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Connie Farnsworth Burchett, 3 sisters, Wilma Lockhart, Beverly Burchett and Barbara Burchett and a brother, Kelly Burchett.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling a caring cremation for the family.
