McCONNELSVILLE - Richard Melvin Galloway, age 81, of 9th St., McConnelsville died December 14, 2008 at 5:26pm in the Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville. He was born August 23, 1927 in Thorpe, WV, the son of John and Vaisie (Edwards) Galloway. Richard worked as a Construction Worker. He is survived by his wife, Violet Tabler of Galloway; three daughters, Barbara Galloway, Regina Cleggs and Belita Wells all of Cleveland; one step-daughter, Jean Pickett of Cleveland; one sister, Carrie Tye of Warren; ten grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ricky Galloway; one brother, John Galloway Jr.; one sister, Gretta Galloway. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 12:00p.m. at the Matheney Funeral Home (McConnelsville) with Minister Pastor Roger Cummings officiating. Interment will be at Chesterhill Cemetery.
