View a Video Memorial Richard "Dickie" Lee Parsons, 53 of Stockport, died on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 8:54 P.M. at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born on September 27, 1958 in Chesterhill, Ohio to Marion "Shug" and Martha Medley Parsons. He was a self employed contractor and was always ready to help anyone who needed help in the community. He also loved to play his guitars and play country music with the many bands he played with. He is survived by his mother, Martha Medley Harlow of McConnelsville, fiancée, Amanda Kennedy and her children Christian and Cory Hall of the home, one son, Shawn Teeter of Oklahoma, six daughters, Brandy Mayle of Chesterhill, Melissa King of Duncan Falls, Bridgett Pauley of Chesterhill, Whitney Parsons of Chesterhill, Samantha Parsons of McConnelsville and Aniah Parsons of the home, one brother, Mark Parsons of McConnelsville, three sisters, Betsy Rupe of Athens, Patsy Klein of Melbourne Fla., and Donna Parsons of Waterford, and ten grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Marion "Shug" Parsons and one son Richard Parsons Jr. Services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Charles Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Chesterhill Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
