Richard L. Stobart, 66 of Stewart, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on Dec. 19, 1954 in Athens, Ohio to the late Clair and Thelma Dunfee Stobart.  He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a retired Truck Driver.  He is survived by a son, Michael Stobart of Stewart, a daughter, Melanie Stobart of Stewart, a step-son, William Delauder of Buckhannon, Wva, 3 brothers, Martin Stobart of Indianapolis, John Stobart of Glouster and Paul Stobart of Athens, 6 sisters, Donna Matheny of Stewart, Mary Barnhouse of Lottridge, Nancy Bellar of Athens, Wanda Burchfield of Milfield, Roberta Lemley of Guysville and Paula Wilson of Lancaster and 5 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Delauder Stobart, 2 brothers, Donald and Clair Jr. and a sister, Freda Stobart.  Services will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill, Ohio with burial following in the Amesville Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Monday, July 4, 2021 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
