Richard "Rick" L. Mayle, 71, of Bartlett, passed away on Weds, Aug. 1, 2018 at the Akron City Hospital following a motor cycle accident in Amish Country near Dover, Ohio. He was born on March 14, 1947 in Chesterhill, Ohio to the late Robert and Lavada Ramsey Mayle. He worked for many years as a supervisor at Shell Chemical in Belpre and then retired from Kraton Chemical in Belpre. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Judy Norris Mayle of the home, a son Rick (Amanda) Mayle Jr. of Bartlett, 2 daughters, Kimberly Hammond of Bartlett and Tara (Jeremy) Simmons of Chesterhill, 2 sisters, Eloise Norris of Philippi W.Va. and Shelba (Ron) Mayle of Belpre and 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Gene and Robert Mayle and 2 sisters, Shirley Kennedy and Maxine Males. Services will be held on Tues., Aug. 7, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Mt. Hermon Church near Amesville with Pastor Junior Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
