Rick E. Mendenhall, 71, of Crooksville, passed away on Sun, March 23, 2025 at the Genesis Hospital.  He was born on Feb.14, 1954 in Zanesville to the late Carl and Patty Jones Mendenhall.  He worked as an IBEW Electrician and retired from Columbus Southern Electric.  He was a member of the McConnelsville Eagles 2387, VFW Aux Post 4713, Sons of the American Legion Post 24 and Moose Lodge 2317 all of McConnelsville.  He is survived by the love of his life Cheryl Wyatt Smith of the home, a brother, Danny Minzler of McConnelsville, 2 sisters, Vicky Melvin of McConnelsville and Micky Pierce of McConnelsville and his fur babies Sadie and Minnie He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Melanie Bowman.  A visitation will be held on Weds, March 26, 2025 from 4-7 P.M. with a short service following at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
