Rita L. Farley, 73, of 43 N. 9th Street, McConnelsville, passed away at 6:03 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012 at Riverside Landing in McConnelsville.

She was born February 7, 1939 in Sandusky, OH, a daughter of the late Russell Scott and Edna Yarger Scott.

She worked at the Luthern Social Services in Columbus for several years and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in McConnelsville.

She is survived by one daughter, Diana Castle of Debary, FL; one son, Russell Farley of Malta, OH; and one sister, Martha Oakes of McConnelsville.

In addition to her parent, she was preceded in death by her husband, Handlin Farley, who died in 2008; and one sister, Alice Clark.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 98 North 10th Street, McConnelsville, with Pastor Walter Jones officiating. Interment will be in McConnelsville Cemetery at a later date.
