Rita M. Benjamin Porter, 77, of Stockport, passed away on Weds, Oct. 28, 2026 at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. She was born on March 17, 1949 in Zanesville to the late Clell and Vera Scott Benjamin. She worked for the Morgan County Schools as a secretary then moving up to the assistant to the Treasurer. She attended the 7th Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Michael Porter of the Home, a son, Scott (Holly) Porter of Stockport, a daughter, Susan (Enrique) Gatmaitan of Columbus, 2 brothers, Tom Benjamin of Arizona and David Benjamin of Lancaster and a grandson. She is preceded in death by her parents. A private family service will be held at the Matheney Funeral Home.
