Rita Rae Goins, age 59, of Columbus, formerly of Chesterhill, passed away at 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus. She was born on November 7, 1952 , in Chesterhill to Helen Mayle Goins and the late George Goins. Rita was a Home Health Aide and was of the Christian faith. Surviving are : 1 son: Aaron Goins and Tori of Columbus; 4 daughters: Alexandra Goins ( John Puntel) of Xenia, Leslie Ivory ( Chad) of Grove City, Stephanie Goins of Columbus, and Brittany Goins (Josh) of Columbus; 17 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; 2 brothers: Sheron Goins of Stockport, and Rick Goins (Teresa), of Amesville; 6 sisters; Patty Guinther (Gary) Bartlett, Ellen Goins, Betty Scott (Larry), Almeda Smith (Marshall), all of Columbus, Tina Goins of Amesville, and Shena Lynn Pippens (Al) also of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her father, husband, Gary E. Scott Sr., 2 brothers: Malcom and Donald; and 3 sisters: Freda , Diana, and Paula. Services will be held on Monday, January 23, 1:00 p.m., at the Mt. Hermon Church with calling hours from 11:00 until service time. Pastor Charles Simmons will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
