Ritchie F. Smith 50, of Malta passed away at 9:40 p.m.  April 11, 2017 at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. He was born January 18, 1967 in Marietta the son of Terry Smith and Susan Nixon Smith . He worked at Miba Bearings for over 31 years, and served in the Army National Guard for several years. He is survived by his mother, Susan Smith of Malta; son Eric (Noel) Smith of Rochester, New York; three grandchildren; sisters, Tonya (Dennis) Murray of Columbus, Tamela (Cory) Gorrell of Malta, brother Ricky (Teresa) Smith of Stockport. He was preceded in death by his father. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.
