Obituary

Robert Glenn McGrath, 71, of Malta passed away at 11:45 a.m. Sunday July 22,2012 at his home.

He was born November 21,1940 in Morgan County to the late Robert Wayne McGrath and Pauline Divers McGrath.

He was retired from Gould Corporation of McConnelsville and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Robert was a member of the American Legion Post No. 24 of McConnelsville and the 40 & 8 where he held district, state, and national offices. He also called square dances in southeastern Ohio for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Brannon McGrath; two sons, Bryan (Darla) McGrath of Stockport and Brad (Lori) McGrath of Malta; five grandchildren, Chase (Bonnie) McGrath, Caleb (Monica) McGrath, Chance, Kody, and Thaddeus McGrath; six step-grandchildren, Anthony and Becky Beardmore, Casey and Amber Strouss, and Michael and Amy French; one great-granddaughter, Joslynn McGrath; eight step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Carole (Gary) Swank of Keller, TX; a brother, Roger (Dowlene) McGrath of Aiken, SC; and his pet dog, Phoebe.

At Robert's request, a caring cremation will take place.

Burial will be in McConnelsville Cemetery at a later date.
