Robert (Bob) McKee, 95, of Zanesville, passed away on Dec. 16, 2017 at the Bethesda Hospital surrounded by his family. He worked for 35 years and retired from Gould National Battery. He was born Feb. 12, 1922 in Sharpsburg, Ohio to the late Frances J. Gibson and Robert M. McKee Sr. He was raised in Bartlett by his maternal grandparents, William (Alfred) Gibson and Emma (Norris) Gibson. He then married his wife of 73 years, Dorothy Mae Dalton McKee. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, parents, grandparents, brother, William (Billy) Mayle, sister, Sybil June Croston and a grandson, Phillip Morrow. Left to cherish his memory is his daughters, Madeline Morrow of New Philadelphia and Sherry McKee of the home, 2 sons, Carlos McKee and Gary (Dorthea) McKee both of Zanesville, a special grandson Chathon Hollins and his girlfriend Amy Poulton of Zanesville, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Junior Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
