Obituary

Robert Franklin Webb, 84, of McConnelsville, passed away at 3:40 a.m. May 15, 2013 at Riverside Landing Health Center in McConnelsville.

He was born April 15, 1929 in Boyd County, Kentucky the son of the late Claude E. Webb and Froken Deskins Webb. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Operators Engineers of Ohio. He was a veteran of the Korean War, member of the Neelysville Church of Christ and a member of the American Legion Post in Genoa where he was a Chaplin.

He is survived by one daughter Tamara (Richard) Polsdorfer of Anderson, South Carolina; two sons Ralph (Lynn) Smith of McConnelsville and James (Wilma) Smith of Genoa, Ohio; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; two sisters Linda Jane Strohl of McConnelsville, Karla Krigbaum of McConnelsville; one brother Harold (Juanita) Webb of McConnelsville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty L. Webb who died September 5, 2011; two sisters Zelda Bernice Webb and Pauline Williams; two brothers Claude Foxy Webb and David Webb.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the funeral home with Jeff Shaner officiating. Burial will follow in Beverly Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post 24 color guard. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.miller-huck.com.
