C. Robert "Bob" Woodyard, 83, of Chesterhill, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2015 at home. He was born December 11, 1931 in Morgan County to the late Carl and Myrtie "Newton" Woodyard. He retired from Woodyard Drilling. He served in the US Navy 1952 to 1956 and enjoyed wildlife and farming. He is survived by a sister-in-law Lauribel Woodyard of Chesterhill, 2 nieces, Rhonda Jackson (Steve) of Chesterhill, and Lyndell Pool (James) of Beverly, 2 great-nephews Aaron Jackson and Adam Jackson a great-niece Adessa Jackson, and a great-great nephew Brennan Melvin. He was preceded in death by a sister, Vena Riggs: and a brother, Blaine Woodyard. Services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Phillip Thomas officiating. Friends may call on the family on Weds. January 7, 2015 from 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chesterhill Vol. Fire Dept.
