Rodney L. Shriver, 77, of Zanesville passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at his home. He was born April 9, 1941 in Morgan County to the late Erville Shriver and Ora Farus Shriver. Rodney was retired from Gould Electronics, Inc. of McConnelsville after 35 years. He served in the National Guard from 1962-1966. He loved gardening, cooking, and flowers and was married to the late Sherry L. McDaniel Shriver for 55 years.  Rodney is survived by a daughter, Tammy Horner of Zanesville; a son, Tobie (Angie) Shriver of Akron; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters; Carolyn Guffey of McConnelsville, Marilyn Roth of Columbus, and Pam (Jerry) Alderman of Columbus. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Shriver; four brothers Richard, Denzil, Gary, and Ronny Shriver and several half brothers and sisters.  At his request, no services will be held and a caring cremation will take place. Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville  is in charge of the arrangements.
